Addiction Counselling in Rondebosch

Addiction rarely exists on its own. It’s often tied up with stress, relationships, low mood, or a sense that something in life needs to change. I offer confidential, non-judgemental counselling for people affected by addiction and substance use, whether you’re questioning your use, trying to cut down, working on staying sober, or supporting someone you love.

What I can help with

  • Alcohol and drug use

  • Behavioural addictions such as gambling or gaming

  • Relapse prevention and building a sustainable recovery

  • Support after rehab or treatment

  • Partners and family members affected by a loved one’s addiction

How I work

Sessions draw on evidence-based approaches, including motivational interviewing, CBT and relapse-prevention work. Together we look at what keeps the cycle going, what matters to you, and practical steps towards change, at a pace that suits you.

I have experience working in addiction treatment settings, and I work alongside doctors, psychiatrists and treatment centres. If you need medical detox, inpatient care or psychiatric support, I’ll help you find the right referral.

Practical details

I’m a Registered Counsellor (HPCSA). Sessions are R650, in person at my garden practice in Rondebosch or online, and can be claimed from medical aid depending on your plan.
